PHOENIX, Ariz. – Life after Steve Nash will fittingly begin on Halloween.

The Phoenix Suns 2012-2013 scheduled was released on Thursday. The new-look Suns will open the season at home against the Golden State Warriors on October 31st.

Phoenix began their offseason makeover by trading the face of the franchise, Nash, to the rival Los Angeles Lakers. The two-time MVP will face his former team for the first time on November 16th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Nash returns to Phoenix on January 30th in a nationally-televised game on ESPN.

The Suns were busy after dealing Nash, signing Goran Dragic, Michael Beasley, claiming Luis Scola off amnesty waivers, resigning Shannon Brown and agreeing to trade Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick in a three-team deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New Orleans Hornets. The Lopez deal is still pending.

The defending NBA champion Miami Heat will return to the U.S. Airways Center on November 17th. LeBron James and company did not play in Phoenix during the lockout-shortened season last year. The Suns will host Oklahoma City Thunder, the Western Conference champs, on January 14th.

Amar’e Stoudemire and the New York Knicks will be in town on December 26th. For the complete schedule, click here.
