The College Football season is almost upon us. Rich Gray, Brett Harmon and Shawn Crespin preview the 2012 season in this week edition of The Control Room Podcast.
New eras begin in Tempe and Tucson as Todd Graham and Rich Rodriguez look to lead Arizona State and Arizona out of mediocrity in their first seasons as head coach. They aren’t the only new faces in the Pac-12 as Jim Mora Jr. and Mike Leach take over UCLA and Washington State respectively. Still, the conference remains top-heavy.
USC is not only a favorite to win the conference, but many are picking the Trojans to win another BCS National Championship. Oregon, Stanford and even Utah look to play spoiler in that roll. The Ducks have plenty returning from a Rose Bowl Champion. Stanford will remain in the hunt, even with the departure of Andrew Luck. While the Utes, well Shawn will explain that.
The guys also give their Top 5 in college football, naming a national champion and picking a darkhorse who might surprise the country this year.
